Liverpool are now trying to sign 15-goal 22-year-old midfielder, Arne Slot really like him

Liverpool are reportedly exploring a move for a midfielder who Arne Slot is believed to be an admirer of.

The reality is that this summer as Liverpool embark on a new era, the Reds will need to look to reinforce all departments.

There will be priority positions that Liverpool will look to address. For example, a centre-back and a wide player is believed to be high on the club’s agenda.

However, there could be other areas where the club will decide to invest as well. Especially depending on who decides to leave the club and who stays at Anfield.

This means even a new midfielder cannot be ruled out at this stage for Liverpool.

Quinten Timber reportedly on Liverpool’s transfer radar

Even though Liverpool signed four midfielders last summer, the reality is not every one of those midfielders have proven himself just yet.

On top of that, Liverpool’s midfield department still seems a little bit, especially with Thiago Alcantara likely leaving the club upon the expiry of his contract.

That’s why bringing in another midfielder as a bit of a utility man to reinforce the squad would make a lot of sense.

And according to transfer expert Rudy Galetti, this is something that is on Liverpool’s agenda. He took to Twitter to claim that Liverpool are supposedly exploring a move for Quinten Timber, who is very appreciated by Slot.

Who is Quinten Timber?

Timber is a midfielder for Feyenoord, who has become a key linchpin under Arne Slot in the team.

So far this season he has 15 goal contributions, having scored seven goals and registered eight assists.

He is still only 22-years-old and his twin brother, Jurrien, plays for Arsenal. Perhaps with Slot coming into the team he could now follow him to the Premier League.
