Former Michigan Wolverines interior offensive lineman Amir Herring has found a new home for the 2024 season in the Big 12. After entering into the NCAA transfer portal late in April, Herring is now out after committing to play for the Kansas Jayhawks this season.

The now-former Wolverine made his commitment announcement via social media.

Herring played his high school football at West Bloomfield High School in West Bloomfield, MI, where he was a four-star prospect with a 90 rating. He was the No. 311 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, the No. 19 interior lineman prospect, and the 4th best player to come out of the state of Michigan, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
