'I don't know': Ben Foster says he can't figure out where £225k-a-week Man City star actually plays

Ben Foster has said that no one knows where one particular Manchester City player’s best position is.

The Blues are currently four victories away from making history and winning a fourth Premier League title in a row.

Even though there are still some crucial games left to play before the latest campaign draws to a close, one pundit has already started speaking about some players that have stood out this season.

In this context, one key figure from Pep Guardiola’s side has been mentioned, although an interesting point has been raised about the way he’s gone about his business on the pitch in this campaign.

In a recent video shared on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Foster was coming up with his best XI of the campaign with some of the standout young players involved.

When he got onto his attacking options, the former shot-stopper said this.

He said: “On the left-hand side, I’m going to be going for Phil Foden.

“I feel like that’s where he’s going to be playing for England in the summer.

“It might not necessarily be his best position or even his favourite position, I don’t know if anybody knows what his favourite position is.”

Phil Foden has been City’s versatile star this season

This season has seen the 23-year-old feature in 31 Premier League games for City, starting 29 of them.

Across those games, the Englishman has scored 16 goals and delivered seven assists.

As Foster mentioned, the £225k-a-week player has featured in numerous midfield and attacking positions across the right, left and central areas of the pitch.

While this may confuse some as to where his best position is, we feel that it highlights the versatility Foden has and is able to offer City.

Moving forward, if the Blues go on to win the Premier League title, it’ll be clear that the England international will have played a big part in it.
