At the foot of the mountains in Nogata City, the colorful flowers of the hydrangea garden delight visitors in June. About 30 years ago, a local man planted hydrangeas at the Mototori Hydrangea Garden in Kamitonno, Nogata City, to beautify the Satoyama area. Since then, the forest has been developed and the number of hydrangeas has increased to over 4,000.
The best time to see them is every June.
