What your cat’s sleeping position says about your relationship

In a clip that has gone viral on TikTok, the owners of kitties Pablo + Jellybean (@gatofather) outlined the theory which is well-documented across social media.

They explained: “Did you know your cat’s sleeping positions say a lot about your relationship? If they sleep near your head they think you’re their mom and they are ready to be groomed.”

Next up was your cat sleeping by your feet, which as they explained: “If your cat sleeps by your feet they think you’re their kitten and they need to keep you protected at all times.”

“If your cat sleeps on top of you, they think you’re one of their belongings, and they definitely think you live in their house rent-free.”

Cats be crazy

Many cat owners flocked to the comments to share their own kitty’s sleeping habits, with most suggesting their relationship is tumultuous at best and outright violent at worst.

One person wrote: “No wonder my cat forces me to pet her 24/7, she thinks she’s my owner.”

Another person revealed: “OK, but what if they demand you make a little cave under the blanket for them so they can be a cozy little spoon?”

“My cat sleeps below my feet, cause I toss and turn and he doesn’t wanna die,” a third person wrote, as a fourth quipped, “My cat must be confused she does all of the above.”
