Ole Miss and head coach Lane Kiffin extended an offer to Iowa wide receiver Jack Bostick earlier in the week. Now, the Rebels have extended another transfer portal offer to Charlotte wide receiver Jack Hestera.

In 2023, Hestera hauled in 23 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged close to 13 yards per reception and eclipsed the 100-yard mark once. One of his better games was against SMU, making seven catches for 81 yards and a score. The transfer target had 12 receptions of 15+ yards in 2023 as well.

The 6-foot-1, 185 pound prospect from Cedar Park (Tex.) played two years of varsity football at Ralston Valley (Col.) before transferring for his senior season. There he helped Cedar Park to a 13-1 record and a berth in the Texas 5A State Championship game. He finished with 53 receptions for 1,061 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Prior to his time with the 49ers, he played at Colorado. After walking on to the team in 2021, he redshirted. Then, in 2023 Hestera played in 11 games and grabbed 11 catches for 157 yards. His best game was against Southern Cal where he had three receptions for 39 yards.

Ole Miss is seemingly still trying to acquire talent in the transfer portal at the wide receiver position.

Despite having one of the top wideout groups in the country, the Rebels are still after a few more. The aforementioned Bostick joins Arizona State’s Elijhah Badger on the potential target list. Kiffin has made a career off exposing mismatches in space. Hestera fits the mold of a slot wide receiver who could thrive in the Ole Miss offense.

The Rebels signed Juice Wells at the end of 2023 and bring back returners Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Cayden Lee and Ayden Williams.

Houston, Utah State and Nevada have also offered Hestera.
