Sullivan confidant claims Will Salthouse is brokering West Ham deal for 'master tactician' manager

West Ham United owner David Sullivan is being aided by Will Salthouse in his search for a new manager it seems.

Will Salthouse has shared a close relationship with David Sullivan during his time in the football agency world, and has sent many players to West Ham throughout the years.

The football agent is believed to have over 300 players on his books, and there aren’t many deals that he’s not involved in!

Said Benrahma has been represented by the Unique Sports Management chief in the past as well, including when he moved from Brentford to West Ham.

Meanwhile, the football agent was behind the deals to bring Darren Randolph and Ryan Fredericks to West Ham.

So it’s clear to see that he shares a very close relationship with Hammers co-owner Sullivan.

And now he’s trying to send one manager in particular our way it seems, with David Moyes facing the sack…

Will Salthouse is brokering deal for new West Ham manager

Ruben Amorim is the man all the West Ham fans want isn’t he? Either him or Paulo Fonseca will do me perfectly.

Surely Sullivan realises that either of those two managers would work wonders at the club, and appointing one of them rather than a freebie would actually make better sense financially in the long run.

However, it seems as though another manager is the leading candidate to replace Moyes…

According to Sean Whetstone – a well-known confidant of Sullivan – Salthouse is involved in the deal to bring Julen Lopetegui to the London Stadium:

It was actually suggested yesterday that the Hammers are prepared to offer the Spaniard a £4.3 million per year salary to take over at the London Stadium.

Described by Wolves website Molineux News as a ‘master tactician’, Lopetegui is well renowned for being obsessed with the ins and outs of the game.

However, I really think that Lopetegui is not the man for the job. He’s a pragmatic coach and will struggle to move us on to another level.

David Sullivan should listen to Mark Noble and Tim Steidten rather than Will Salthouse and appoint Amorim instead!
