Jadon Sancho makes Manchester United decision

According to Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, Sancho does not want to return to Carrington and play for Manchester United next season.

He suggests that the English winger’s ideal scenario is to remain at Dortmund. Berger took to Twitter/X to write:

‘Jadon Sancho (24/) does not want to return to Manchester United – regardless of whether Erik ten Hag remains in charge or not, sources telling. #MUFC preparing for his departure. But no price tag set yet by @ManUtd.’

With manager uncertainty at Manchester United, it was a question as to whether Sancho would like a return if Ten Hag was to depart. This now doesn’t look like the case.

But what Sancho wants isn’t the big deciding factor in this circumstance.

A loan deal for Jadon Sancho to potentially be explored

The big factor is whether the clubs can come to an agreement price-wise, but Dortmund are short of cash. They’d like to potentially do even another year’s loan, according to reports.

Berger also wrote: ‘Jadon is happy to be with #BVB and wants to stay. Borussia Dortmund exploring the possibility of a second loan deal – with obligation to buy, as the transfer fee for a permanent deal is probably gonna be too high. Talks between clubs soon.’

Another loan would not exactly thrill Manchester United. They also need cash if they are looking to compete in the next transfer window.

The Sancho situation will be big news heading into the summer. United in Focus will follow every step of the journey, so do keep checking back for more.
