Exclusive: Manchester United and Chelsea have both spoken to Champions League winning manager in recent weeks

TBR Football understands that Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham United have all been spoken to in recent weeks about Hansi Flick.

Flick is open to the idea of moving to England and that desire has been relayed to prospective employers in the Premier League.

TBR has been informed by well place sources that Flick is ready to return to club management for next season and his representatives have been doing their work across Europe.

Flick was one of those in firm contention to replace Xavi at Barcelona, before he opted to remain with the Catalan giants beyond this season.

Hansi Flick has Premier League ambitions

Sources have confirmed to TBR that the 59-year-old has an ambition to manage in the Premier League and is attracted by the possible opportunities that could arise in England this summer.

Chelsea are doing their due diligence on potential replacements for Mauricio Pochettino – whose future at Stamford Bridge is far from clear, as TBR confirmed last month, and Flick is one of those who has been put to the club’s hierarchy, and TBR is told that he is someone who they would consider as a future boss.

Likewise, Manchester United are doing their homework on options should they opt to move on from Erik Ten Hag and it is understood that Gareth Southgate and Graham Potter are amongst those on their radar.

TBR understands that West Ham have also been spoken to, but as it stands their first-choice to replace David Moyes is Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham are in talks to finalise a deal for Lopetegui – who has emerged as owner David Sullivan’s first choice.

However, former Real Madrid boss Lopetegui is also one of the names to re-emerge in the Bayern Munich job hunt. Ralf Rangnick became the third coach to reject the offer to take charge of the club this summer following on from Xabi Alonso and Julian Nageslmann.

Bayern Munich considering options

Bayern are now looking at options and that includes Lopetegui, but also former coach Flick – who left Munich to take charge of Germany in 2021.

It is also believed that one option for Bayern could be to keep current incumbent Thomas Tuchel – who has taken the club to the Champions League semi-finals, in spite of a poor domestic campaign.

It had been announced by Bayern in February that Tuchel would be leaving the club – but having failed to secure his successor, there are some within the club who feel they should stick with him.

Tuchel, like Flick, is understood to have been put forward for the United role and is of interest to the Old Trafford outfit.
