Former Houston defensive lineman Hakeem Ajijolaiya has committed to TCU out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

He played all 12 games at nose guard for the Cougars this season, tallying 21 total tackles including 10 solo and one pass defended. During his three-year career in Houston, Ajijolaiya totaled 27 tackles along with one sack recorded back in 2021. He’ll look to have a greater role with the Horned Frogs after proving his worth last season.

Ajijolaiya was a three-star recruit coming out of the high school ranks, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 1,316 player in the 2019 class, checking in as the No. 126 defensive lineman in his respective class.

The Katy, TX native will have two seasons of eligibility remaining to play for the Horned Frogs out of the NCAA transfer portal.
