Baffled Man Utd fans all in agreement over two ‘awful’ players after Crystal Palace demolition, they are completely furious

Furious Manchester United fans were baffled by the performances from two players after Crystal Palace steamrolled Erik ten Hag’s men with a thumping scoreline.

Erik ten Hag’s side were outclassed and humiliated by Oliver Glasner’s men, with Crystal Palace thumping Manchester United 4-0 on Monday evening.

Michael Olise, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, fired Palace into the lead in the 12th minute of the Premier League clash at Selhurst Park.

Jean-Philippe Mateta doubled the advantage of Oliver Glasner’s side before half-time, with United looking toothless in their response to the 2-0 deficit.

Tyrick Mitchell added Palace’s third after the break before Michael Olise completed his brace in the 66th minute, as Palace steamrolled United in their home win.

United languish in eighth place in the league table after Chelsea defeated West Ham 5-0 on Sunday and Newcastle beat Burnley 4-1 on Saturday.

The Red Devils are level on points with seventh-place Chelsea and two points behind sixth-place Newcastle with only three Premier League matches remaining.

Two Man Utd players were woeful vs Palace

Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad at Old Trafford has been ravaged by injuries this season and the Dutchman was hit with another setback for the Crystal Palace match.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was ruled out of action due to injury and former club skipper Harry Maguire has been sidelined for an extended period.

Ten Hag has been forced to turn to Casemiro in recent weeks as a makeshift centre-back due to the absence of defenders like Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.

Casemiro has seen his influence wane in his second season at Old Trafford and the former Real Madrid star has been met with criticism amid an injury-hit campaign.

However, the 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder was heavily exposed without Harry Maguire alongside him and Casemiro dropped a lacklustre performance on the night.

Casemiro has already been under fire in his regular midfield role, but the Brazil captain appeared even more of a shadow of his former self in defence.

The ex-Los Blancos midfielder was not alone in receiving stinging criticism from United fans, with Antony offering very little in the final third at Selhurst Park.

Antony has only managed to score once and picked up a single assist in 28 Premier League matches for United this season.

The 24-year-old former Ajax star managed only 60 minutes against Palace before Ten Hag withdrew Antony and replaced him with Sofyan Amrabat.

Man Utd fans react to Casemiro and Antony

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, slammed both Casemiro and Antony after the Red Devils’ drubbing at the hands of Palace.

Red Devils supporters were baffled by the transfer fees that United dropped on the two Ten Hag signings, with one claiming that their contracts should be ‘torn up.’

However, United fans were in agreement that both Casemiro and Antony were “awful” against Palace at Selhurst Park.

One fan said: “We spent £150million on Casemiro and Antony. We could’ve had [Declan] Rice and [Michael] Olise for £140million that summer. Another horrible bit of business.”

Someone else tweeted: “It’s hard to see a worse signing than Casemiro for that money… then the camera pans and I see Mason Mount… then the camera pans [and] then I see Antony.”

“Casemiro and Antony can share an Uber on their way back to the airport and then Brazil,” a third wrote.

Another commented: “F**k me, these are terrible. Casemiro, Antony. Just rip up the contracts, f*****g awful.”

While a fifth posted: “Casemiro! Get him off! Antony! Waste of time [and] money. No midfield! This is the worst team I’ve seen. I’m 51!”

“Antony is awful, Casemiro is awful,” another simply stated.

While a seventh said: “Hard to believe. Antony might have had one of the worst individual performances I’ve ever seen. Maybe only beaten by Casemiro’s.”

And an eighth tweeted: “Antony and Casemiro have had a ‘who can be more useless contest’ tonight.”
