Former Texas Longhorns running back Ky Woods has a new home for the 2024 season. After entering the NCAA Transfer Portal in late April, Woods landed in his new program home on Monday after committing to play for Nevada next season. The sophomore running back took to social media to announce his commitment.

Woods played high school football at Clear Springs High School in League City, TX, where he was a three-star prospect with a grade of 80.5. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he was the No. 1891 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, No. 134 among running backs, and No. 270 among recruits coming out of the state of Texas in that cycle.

Woods had spent the past two seasons with the Longhorns. In that time, he appeared in three games, all of which came last fall, with all of his work coming on special teams. However, instead of entering his junior year in Austin, Woods will do so in Reno, NV.
