TV show host 'aggressively butchers' star's mullet and plans to profit from it

Kyle Cooke is an original Summer House star and a successful entrepreneur. But, one thing about him that shines brighter than anything else is his trademark mullet. That was, until, Andy Cohen cut Kyle’s iconic hair and decided he’s keeping the shaven mullet “in a bag.”

Bravo stars are usually the unhinged ones at the reunion shows. But, it appears Andy Cohen let loose during the Summer House: Hamptons reunion this Spring as he gave Kyle a whole new look. The Watch What Happens Live host says he got “aggressive” with the restyle.

Andy Cohen ‘butchers’ Kyle Cooke’s mullet

During an episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy tells John Hill how he’s recorded two Summer House reunions in the past week.

Speaking of both the Martha’s vineyard and Hamptons Summer House shows, Andy teased the reunions are “great.”

He casually dropped in how he gave Kyle a whole new look during the episode: “I did cut Kyle’s mullet off…”

Andy continued: “…and kind of butchered it. I really just, I was very aggressive. I didn’t give it a moment’s thought. It was another person’s hair that I was cutting.”

‘No one’s gonna buy it’

Given the iconic status of Kyle’s mullet, of course Andy wasn’t going to throw it in the trash.

Andy revealed he has plans for Kyle’s hair: “I have it in a bag. It’s in that bag over there, the mullet, because I’m bringing it to “‘Watch What Happens Live’ after this to put in the clubhouse somewhere and it’s-“

John chimed in: “I bet there’s some Bravo ladies who would like to have that made into a merkin. He could sell that.”

Andy said Kyle’s wife, Amanda Batula, didn’t have high hopes for her hubby’s hair: “Well, it’s funny that you say that. He wanted to sell it for charity and Amanda was like, ‘Kyle, no one’s gonna buy it’.”

The Bravo show host added how he plans to keep it in the clubhouse before putting it in the Bravo Museum at the next BravoCon.

While some fans may be sad to see Kyle switch up his style, many take to the Summer House star’s Instagram page to say they’ve “wanted the mullet gone for years.”

Another said: “Thank god the mullet is dead!”

Adding of the reunion, he said: “Lindsay and Carl, we really got into all the mess. We went through it all. It was, as a fan of the show, which I am. I don’t produce it. I have nothing to do with it. It was quite satisfying, quite exciting.”
