Manchester United’s loss to Crystal Palace was a performance far worse than fans feared it might be.
Oliver Glasner’s Palace side had been in good form, andManchester United had won just one in six matches heading into the game.
United were awful from the first minute and lost 4-0 at Selhurst Park. It was a defeat which piled more pressure on manager Erik ten Hag.
Most worrying for Ten Hag, two of the senior Ineos staff were in attendance for United’s capitulation.

Interim chief executive and Ineos Sport CEO Jean-Claude Blanc was sat alongside him, looking stony faced.
It was a long away trip at an inconvenient kick-off time, and both have plenty to consider and reflect on, and report back to Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford.
Manchester United have now won only one of the past seven games. The club face Arsenal, Newcastle and Brighton up next before the FA Cup final.
Manchester United were woeful against Palace
From start to finish, Manchester United were risibly awful against Palace, a mess in defence and incoherent in attack.
The team managed only two shots on target, and Palace could quite easily have scored more than the four goals they ended up with.
Up next United face Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, who have everything to play for. The team need a dramatic change in performance levels, and that may just not be possible.
