Sky Sports reporter shares how Nottingham Forest are now feeling after FFP announcement

Sky Sports report Kaveh Solhekol has explained how Nottingham Forest feel after their appeal was heard.

The Reds had hoped to get some of the four points they were deducted back but now that won’t be the case.

An independent commission has deemed that they didn’t have any grounds for an appeal and the four-point deduction remains.

Forest are three points clear of the relegation zone and have a much better goal difference than Luton below them.

The Reds now know what it will take to get out of their current situation and just one more win should see them over the line.

Following the announcement of their appeal, Solhekol has explained how the club now feels.

Reporter Solhekol shares how Nottingham Forest player feels after appeal defeat

Well, it’s fair to say that this is hardly a shock in the eyes of supporters, with many Forest fans seeing this coming.

Forest still have it all to play for and hopefully, the Reds can get over the line with enough points.

If Luton lose at West Ham things will look very healthy and if Burnley are beaten at Tottenham they will be mathematically relegated.

Now, Solhekol has explained how Forest are feeling after the decision came to light earlier today.

He toldSky Sports News: “Forest are very disappointed and they’ve been angry with how it’s been dealt with, they feel that for two of the three seasons in this accounting period, they were actually in the Championship.

“When they came up they had very little time to build a squad that would make them competitive in the Premier League.

“They want to remain a Premier League club and that’s where they want to be. Everyone knows where they stand now and Forest do have a three-point gap and a much better goal difference than Luton.”

Forest have to move on from this FFP debacle now

Well, it’s fair to say that Forest have to move on pretty quickly now and focus on playing Chelsea.

The Reds beat Sheffield United at the weekend – and looking it at logically, it’s probably a good job they did now.

Forest were never likely to get any points back in our view and they were always pushing it by even making an appeal.

Thankfully no more points have been added and now, Forest know exactly what they need to do to get themselves over the line.

It’s no surprise that people inside the club are feeling somewhat angry but ultimately, it’s good that it’s been sorted with a couple of games left.

Forest have to move on quickly and hopefully, the Reds can learn some lessons from this when it comes to buying players next summer.
