David Seaman names the one 'problem' that will stop Arsenal beating Man City to the title

Legendary former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has now admitted that he does not believe that the Gunners will win the title for one reason.

Arsenal are currently in the thick of a Premier League title race.

Whilst the Gunners are top of the table as things stand, the destiny of the title is not in their own hands. Manchester City are just one point behind the North London club and have a game in hand.

Given their superior goal difference, Arsenal may only need Manchester City to draw in order for the title to come to Emirates Stadium, but in any case, the reigning champions will have to slip up and drop points in order for Mikel Arteta’s men to stand any chance of glory.

The bad news, from an Arsenal perspective, is that Manchester City are more than capable of taking maximum points from their three remaining fixtures. Pep Guardiola’s side have been here before and know what it takes to get over the line.

Whilst former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher insists Arsenal have “a great chance” of winning the title, few would have the Gunners down as favourites.

Even David Seaman is pessimistic about the Gunners’ chances.

When asked on his Seaman Says podcast if he belies the title race is likely to be decided on goal difference, the former shot-stopper said: “No, if I’m honest. I can’t see Man City not winning every game, that’s my only problem. The only hard game that I see that they’ve got is Spurs away, and the form Spurs are in at the moment is like Man United.”

Manchester City still have to play Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur, before they face off against West Ham United on the final day. Arsenal’s only remaining games are Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford for an encounter with Manchester United, before they then welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta must keep Arsenal focused on themselves

Spurs are in woeful form, which will give Manchester City belief that they can claim a win against Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals.

All Arsenal can do now is make sure that they win their own matches and hope for the best. For all of the attention on Manchester City’s results, Arteta can’t let his own players take their eye off the ball.

Although the Red Devils haven’t been at their best in recent weeks, they will be determined to bounce back with a positive result against Arsenal. The Gunners should be preparing for a stern test on Sunday, and must find a way to win.
