Bukayo Saka reveals there is one factor driving Arsenal on to beat Man City to the title

Bukayo Saka has revealed the one driving factor spurring Arsenal on to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title.

The Gunners are potentially two wins away from a first league title since 2004, with Arsenal hopeful that City can slip up in at least one of their final three games of the season in what is turning out to be a dramatic title race.

Whilst the likes of Sergio Aguero have backed Pep Guardiola’s side to win the title, Arsenal are the inform team in the league in 2024 having dropped points in just two games, with Mikel Arteta creating a winning machine.

Saka says last year’s failure is motivation for Arsenal to beat Manchester City

Speaking to the Mirror, the England international has said last year’s failure to win the Premier League has been used as motivation to help Arsenal beat City, with the Gunners going up another level from last season’s success.

Saka said: “Everybody knows they (City) are one of the best teams in the world and they have been on top for five years, challenging for everything, so for ourselves to be up there competing with them is good. We’re pushing them the whole way, and let’s see what happens.

“But we are not getting frustrated, we see it as a challenge that we want to fight until the end. They have set a standard and it’s up to the rest of us to try and be better than them. The pain of last year has brought us together and we are so hungry to go one step further this year – but also in future years, too.

“We are young, we are hungry, we’ve got quality and we have many more years ahead of us and we’ll have lots of experiences together. The end of last season has made us stronger, made us hungrier and the squad is a lot stronger, too. The new signings have had a big impact. We have been so consistent this year, not conceded many goals, only lost once in the league, so we want to continue that.”

Arsenal need to focus on winning their last two Premier League games

Arsenal have done as much as they can when it comes to their own bid to win the Premier League, with two wins from their final games potentially enough to secure the title.

City have set the standards for what needs to be done to win the Premier League, with Arsenal potentially breaking numerous club records and still coming away with nothing this season.

Indeed, Arsenal need to focus on themselves and hope City slip up in their final fixtures, with Guardiola’s side also looking as unstoppable as the Gunners.
