Liverpool now want to sign 23-goal forward who scored against them this season

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing an attacker who has 23 goals this season, and one of them was against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool simply love buying players who caught the eye against them. Especially under Jurgen Klopp. First there was Sadio Mane, then Takumi Minamino. Now there’s Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.

All four of them scored or played really well against Liverpool before making the move to Merseyside.

On the whole, all four of them have also been really successful additions for Liverpool. Mane has become an icon, Minamino was an integral squad player and both Nunez and Diaz have made an impact.

This summer, even though Klopp is leaving the club, it seems the Reds’ policy will not change.

Mohamed Amoura on Liverpool’s transfer radar

Liverpool seemed to have set their sights on a Liverpool who impressed against Klopp’s team earlier this season.

According to a report from L’Equipe, Liverpool are among the club’s interested in the services of Mohamed Amoura, who plays for Union SG.

The report claims that as well as Liverpool, Brighton also want to sign Amoura, and they are currently in the lead for his signature.

It probably helps that Brighton have close ties with Union SG, and have brought the likes of Kaoruo Mitoma and Simon Adingra over from Belgium in recent years.

What did Mohamed Amoura do against Liverpool

Union SG’s played Liverpool earlier this season in the group-stages of the Europa League. Amoura caught the eye in both matches.

And in the second one, he proved to be a real handful. At home on Union SG’s turf, Amoura scored and registered an assist against Liverpool in a 2-1 victory for his side.

Overall, he was one of the most impressive players Liverpool had faced in the Europa League, and it would be no surprise if he has caught the Reds’ eyes.
