'Amazing' Arsenal player is not injured, he'll be ready to face Manchester United

Arsenal have received a big boost after some concerning news about one of their players emerged.

The Gunners have just two games left in the Premier League this season. They face Manchester United on Sunday before hosting Everton on the final day.

One Arsenal player missed training this week and that worried a few supporters ahead of the game at Old Trafford. Charles Watts has explained what actually happened.

The real reason why Takehiro Tomiyasu missed Arsenal training

Takehiro Tomiyasu has had plenty of injury issues since he joined Arsenal.

The Japan international has the potential to be one of the club’s most important players. He can play in every single defensive position and has done really well across the backline for the Gunners.

Since February 2022, Tomiyasu has missed a total of 40 games for club and country due to injuries.

When Sky Sports reported that the 25-year-old was missing from training on Tuesday, Arsenal fans feared the worst.

However, there is a positive update on the situation.

Journalist Charles Watts has revealed that Tomiyasu is not injured and should be available for the game against Manchester United on Sunday.

The reason why he wasn’t a part of the group was because he was doing some individual work indoors.

Watts said on his YouTube channel: “They (Sky Sports) picked up that Takehiro Tomiyasu was not involved in the training session, he was the only first team member of the squad not involved in the session.

“But word is that it’s not because of an injury issue or anything that could keep him out of the game at the weekend.

“It’s more that he was just inside doing some training on his own, but should be fine for the weekend, and that just means Mikel’s going to have a fully fit squad to choose from.”

Another Arsenal player could be available for Manchester United clash

The news that Takehiro Tomiyasu is not injured is a big boost for Arsenal.

The Japanese defender, branded as ‘amazing’ by Ben White (Goal), has been brilliant at left-back recently, producing excellent performances against Bournemouth, Tottenham and Chelsea.

His quality will be key for Arsenal against Manchester United on Sunday, but he’s not the only one who could fill in at left-back at Old Trafford.

Jurrien Timber is fit and has been a part of first-team training for a few weeks now. He is yet to make his long-awaited comeback, but Sunday could be the day.

There is a big chance Timber will be in the squad when Arsenal go to Old Trafford.
