Film star mocked for his 'philosophical' life advice - 'It's sending me to the moon'

Orlando Bloom recently shared some of his philosophical insight but the reactions and mockery that followed are hilarious.

He was Legolas in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, the swashbuckling Will Turner in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, and the mythological figure Paris in the historical epic Troy. Let’s face it: Orlando Bloom is an inspiration. The 47-year-old English actor and the partner of Katy Perry has been a valuable part of some of the most exciting and successful franchises ever made. Unfortunately, that doesn’t translate to the man behind the movies having much in the way of inspirational life advice, according to a recent spotlight on TikTok.

Orlando Bloom mocked for philosophical attempt to inspire fans

The Pirates heartthrob recently appeared on an episode of the Jay Shetty Podcast, On Purpose.

“Orlando shares insights from his diverse life as an actor, adventurer, and someone deeply involved in spirituality,” the episode’s caption reads, describing Orlando as a man “who is constantly looking for deeper meaning and connections in life.”

However, hadleyousee on TikTok recently shared some of the star’s “insights” from the interview.

“Whenever you’re with somebody, it may be the last time you ever see them again,” Orlando says in the clip. “Mmm,” Jay prompts him approvingly.

“You just don’t know,” Orlando continues. “So make it great. What do you have to lose? You may never see this person again. You don’t know, life is like—” he starts clicking his fingers… “You don’t know.”

The mockery of the reaction in the TikTok is priceless, but the real gold is in the comments, right after the caption joking that “Orlando Bloom is the Aristotle of our times!”

“When they whisper a little bit to make it sound more profound,” one reacted, poking fun at how self-serious the actor is in the clip.

“The ‘mmm’s are sending me to the moon,” another hilariously added, somebody else commenting “Me at 4 learning about death,” in a brutal takedown.

“I’d conclude that with a ‘live love laugh’ at this point,” another joked.

Others have argued that his philosophical musings are a sign of concern. “How do you get to that age and that’s all you got?” one asked puzzled. “OCD and anxiety taught me this at an unreasonably young age,” somebody also reflected. ”Musta been complete carefree bliss not figuring this out until your 40s.”

Orlando Bloom is treasured as ‘lovely’ and ‘deep’ by others

Although the reactions to the TikTok are humorous in their takedown of Orlando’s advice, that doesn’t mean others haven’t found the interview meaningful.

The TikTok contains a 15-second snippet, but after listening to the 90+ minute podcast episode, some have showered their praise upon the Hollywood star.

“I did not know he was so deep,” a fan reacted in the episode’s comment section “So nice to see how much passion and enthusiasm he has. I have never seen him speak this way. What a lovely person.”

Another echoed the sentiment. “I love how Orlando’s mind works…” they wrote. “He gets excited and pulled into his own questions, thoughts, and insights. It is so nice he appears to just flow and not censor himself being a celebrity.”

Somebody will surely remark that a swimming pool seems deep if you’ve never seen the ocean, but as long as Orlando’s musings are resonating with some yet not all, there’s still value there. But for somebody who enjoys a good laugh, there’s as much value in the mockery.
