Report: Chelsea have made the 'best offer' for 'spectacular' player and are edging closer to deal

Chelsea are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bolster his ranks further.

Pochettino’s young Blues squad has had to deal with many injuries for much of the campaign, which has had a huge impact on their form.

However, two big wins against London rivals in a row have put Chelsea within reach of a Europa League place, so there’s definitely some optimism going forward.

Now, it looks as though the Blues are already making huge progress in terms of getting the signing of a future superstar over the line.

And the player in question is one of Brazil’s most exciting talents, a wonderkid who has been likened to Lionel Messi.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Chelsea have made the ‘best offer’ for Palmeiras forward Estevao Willian.

However, it’s worth noting that, as per the report, they’ve not met the Brazilian club’s demands just yet.

How much have Chelsea offered for Estevao Willian?

Chelsea have apparently offered €30million for the player, with bonuses taking the sum to somewhere in the region of €60million.

However, Palmeiras apparently like easily achievable bonuses which make the deal reach €45million, before add-ons can then get it over the €60million mark.

The Brazilian club reportedly also want a clause which stops Chelsea from selling Estevao before the goals for the €45million amount are met.

A further update on UOL claimed that Chelsea raised their offer to an initial €35million with €25million in bonuses, and talks are said to be continuing.

Palmeiras do not consider the deal closed, and are waiting for bids from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, added the report.

Chelsea on the right track to sign Estevao Willian

Estevao would be a great acquisition for Chelsea and yet another statement of intent with regards to putting together a team full of potential future superstars.

Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout has compared the ‘spectacular dribbler’ to Lionel Messi and Takefusa Kubo, as well as deeming him a 10 out of 10 in terms of potential.

With so many clubs seemingly eyeing Estevao, Chelsea look to be on the right track towards getting a deal over the line, although there’s still work to be done.
