Report: New potential Everton buyers emerge as 777 Partners face takeover termination

Everton’s season has not really gone to plan, but thus far they seem to be achieving success in a very roundabout way.

Admittedly, much of the turmoil is not born of Sean Dyche’s decision-making, or any of his players, yet they are the ones made to suffer alongside the fanbase.

And yet, against all the odds they continue to prove people wrong, overcoming every hurdle that the Premier League and 777 Partners throw their way.

They could now reap the rewards of dealing with the latter, as a huge development has emerged.

New Everton buyers emerge in takeover twist

In an article penned by Paul Joyce, we have received possibly the biggest update on Everton’s takeover in weeks which could finally denote a conclusion.

This has been eight months in the making, given 777 Partners struck a deal with Farhad Moshiri back in September, and at last the Iranian is seeing sense.

Having previously been content to keep stringing along himself and the fans, finally he is set to move on from the Miami-based firm and his narrow-minded view on who should usurp him as owner.

Writing for The Times, the aforementioned journalist notes: ‘Farhad Moshiri is considering terminating an agreement with 777 Partners for the American company to buy Everton amid persistent doubts over its financial capabilities.

However, he then proceeds to present a solution to the collapse of one deal: ’In the meantime, more doubts over 777 Partners’ ability to fund the club in the long-term have reared and are such that Moshiri could now break off the agreement.

‘Should he proceed with that — and in the past he has been known to change his mind on matters — he would have to provide funding for the club from his own pocket or turn to an alternative source. It is understood there are other parties interested in acquiring Everton.’

Finally some positivity for Everton fans

After a season that has been dominated by unrelenting negativity, it is so refreshing to finally get a bit of good news for a change.

It was always expected to be a season wrought with hardships, and when Dyche led his team to a winless start to the campaign, that was only reinforced.

It would take until game week six to secure their first Premier League victory, and only once they had got going did the Premier League intervene with the first of two deductions.

Crucially, throughout all of this turmoil, that aforementioned takeover has rumbled on in the background causing mass unrest.

Well, with the deductions overcome and safety assured, at last it seems like the third and final outstanding issue that Everton boast could be sorted.

Should they come to an amicable and profitable conclusion this summer, which all signs do suggest they might, then perhaps next term might actually be one for fans to look forward to.
