Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has brushed off complaints from Bayern Munich after the German side saw a late goal ruled out for offside in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg.
An early offside flag halted play seconds before Matthijs de Ligt thought he had bagged an equaliser deep into stoppage time, leaving both the Dutch defender and manager Thomas Tuchel furious at the refereeing team.
Ancelotti, however, was in no mood to discuss any potential injustices, instead claiming his Madrid side had been on the wrong end of a decision earlier on when a goal was ruled out for a foul on Joshua Kimmich.
"The assistant raises the flag, the referee whistles and we stopped," Ancelotti began. "It may not have been offside, but what is certain is that he whistled.
"They complain about that goal but not the other one for us that they ruled out, because Kimmich throws himself against Nacho [Fernandez]. It should have been a goal."
In what appeared to be another dig at Bayern, Ancelotti praised his side for keeping strong towards the end of a season which has been full of major setbacks.
"It has not been an easy season," he said. "There has been a lot of talk about the injuries of [Thibaut] Courtois, [Eder] Militao or [David] Alaba, but we also lost Vinicius [Junior], [Jude] Bellingham, [Aurelien] Tchouameni for a long time...
"The team took advantage of the injury problems to demonstrate the great value of this squad. We never complained. We overcame it."
Madrid's reward for the battling victory is a spot in the Champions League final, where they will be heavy favourites to overcome German outfit Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on June 1.
