Former Vanderbilt/Mississippi State quarterback Mike Wright commits Northwestern

Former Vanderbilt and Mississippi State quarterback Mike Wright has committed to Northwestern, On3 has learned.

Wright heads over to the Big Ten Conference following four seasons in the SEC, spending the first three years of his career Vanderbilt before spending a season at Mississippi State last year. Joining Wildcats with 2,520 passing yards and 24 touchdowns in his career.

Wright played high school football at Woodward Academy in Atlanta (GA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 574 overall recruit and the No. 39 ranked quarterback in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
