Former Louisville defensive lineman Jermayne Lole will be playing for Oklahoma’s rival instead of the Sooners.

Lole has flipped his commitment to Texas, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

“I was on the wrong side of the Red River,” Jermayne Lole told Fawcett.

Lole has appeared in 40 career games during his time at Arizona State and with the Cardinals, tallying 141 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks.

Lole was a preseason All-Pac-12 selection before the 2021 season. His best year in an Arizona State uniform came in 2019 when he had 71 tackles and 6.5 sacks as a sophomore.

As a member of the Class of 2018, Lole was a three-star recruit out of Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 81 overall prospect in the state, the No. 82 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 814 overall prospect in the class.
