Report: Wolves could now make summer move for £35m Arsenal player who last scored in October

Wolves could make a move for one Arsenal player with Mikel Arteta open to letting him go if they can find a replacement this summer.

Arsenal have taken another step forward this year as they continue to battle in the Premier League title race, but there are potentially one or two changes which need to be made over the summer.

Aaron Ramsdale could leave, and some Arsenal fans may be hoping that the club manage to sign a more natural goalscorer despite the brilliant recent form of Kai Havertz.

It certainly seems that the Gunners would be willing to sign another striker over the summer, with 90min reporting that Arsenal are open to letting Eddie Nketiah leave.

Wolves could make move for Eddie Nketiah

The Gunners want up to £35 million for the 24-year-old, with Crystal Palace amongst those keen on securing his signature over the coming months.

Meanwhile, 90min reports that Wolves could also make a move for Nketiah as they want to sign another striker to provide cover for Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha.

Arsenal will let Nketiah leave the Emirates provided that they can replace the academy graduate.

Why Arsenal face simple choice if they receive £30 million bid this summer

It seems to be one move which will prove to be best for all parties, if Arsenal can find a buyer for Nketiah over the summer.

Unfortunately for Nketiah, he appears to have fallen to third in the striker pecking order, and that is before you consider that Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli can also play up front.

Nketiah has not actually scored a Premier League goal since October, and has not played a single minute of Mikel Arteta’s side’s last four league games.

He turns 25 later this month, so he will not want to watch what could be the best years of his career pass him by, particularly as he has shown that he can make an impact in the Premier League.

It would be brilliant for Arsenal if they could get anything like £35 million for Nketiah over the coming months.

And in truth, he should surely jump at the chance to move if Wolves or Crystal Palace make a bid when the window opens.
