Urawa Reds Ladies lifted the AFC Women's Club Championship on Friday after coming from behind to beat South Korea's Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels 2-1 in the final.
Kiko Seike got on the end of a chipped pass to level in the 22nd minute before her striking partner Mei Shimada headed in what proved to be the winner off a corner four minutes later at Urawa Komaba Stadium in Saitama.
Lee So Hee had earlier given Incheon the lead after 13 minutes when she pounced on a mistake at the back and drilled into the net from 25 meters out.
"I'm really lucky to win it at this ground, hearing these cheers," said Japan forward and Urawa youth product Seike after the final was held at their home venue.
"I really understand what winning this tournament means to this club...I'm proud we've become Asia's No. 1 here today."
The eight-team tournament began last October. The Asian Football Confederation initially called the final off on March 22 but changed its mind and announced around a month later that it would go ahead.
The new AFC Women's Champions League will start in October this year.
