Prince Harry and Meghan Markle new documentary on the horizon - but they 'won't like it'

A new Prince Harry and Meghan Markle documentary is incoming, but the “fresh secrets” being spilled are sure to stir upset.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in 2018, but it didn’t take all that long for them to leave the UK and relocate to Meghan’s native California in the summer of 2020. The couple expressed a need for privacy while raising their family, but that doesn’t mean the pair haven’t been open about their lives since taking steps back from the royals. There was the 2021 Oprah interview, for example, as well as the 2022 Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan. However, an upcoming documentary won’t be like either of those…

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will ‘almost certainly’ dislike new documentary

An upcoming documentary presented by royal expert and journalist Ulrike Grunewald is in the works, set to focus a lens on Harry and Meghan like never before.

The German production is being made for the ZDF network but is destined to attract global attention considering it promises to reveal “fresh secrets” about the pair who continue to command headlines.

Already having experience on TV and documentary specials focusing on the royals, Ulrike reportedly headed to California to conduct interviews with those living in the pair’s neighborhood, according to Yahoo! Life.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has weighed in during an exclusive talk with the Mirror, and he strongly believes neither Harry nor Meghan will like the documentary one bit.

“Having largely controlled Oprah, who was reluctant to interrogate them, having control over their six-hour documentary for Netflix, Harry & Meghan, and obviously over Harry’s memoir Spare, the Sussexes would almost certainly not welcome this,” he argued.

With perspectives on the royals from a range of journalists and experts on the family, the public is already beginning to anticipate some surprising truths to emerge from sitting down to tune in.

Former royal reporter was ‘grilled’ for hours as part of documentary

Richard Mineards, a former royal reporter, recently spoke about taking part in the forthcoming documentary while writing in his column.

“Los Angeles-based producer Melanie Hillmann grilled me for two hours on my Riven Rock neighbours, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, under director Ulrike Grunewald,” he spilled. “The interview is airing in due course as part of a prime-time documentary on ZDF Royal.”

You may already be familiar with Urike’s work on the royals, actually. She produced The Queen in 2015, as well as The Windsors in 2009

Judging from what’s already being said about the Harry and Meghan special, it could very well prove her juiciest documentary yet.
