Report: What Erik ten Hag is doing in training that has really 'irked' some at Manchester United

It’s pretty safe to say that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is a man under pressure right now.

The Red Devils are into the FA Cup final but a series of dismal performances have left fans wondering what might be next for their beloved club.

Of course, a cup final against Manchester City has potential disaster written all over it. Erik ten Hag doesn’t seem to be able to get his players up for games right now and amid an injury crisis as well, the signs aren’t looking good.

Indeed, speaking of the injuries at United, there is a feeling inside the club from some that that too is down to Ten Hag.

Why Manchester United insiders are unhappy with Erik ten Hag’s training methods

Writing about how life at United is under Ten Hag, the Daily Mail detail why some at the club are unhappy with Ten Hag’s training methods.

“There has been a strong feeling among some sources that spoke to Mail Sport that the intensity of Ten Hag’s training, particularly for players returning from lengthy lay-offs, has played a factor in re-aggravation. The number of high-intensity sessions has also irked some,” The Mail writes.

Easy to blame Ten Hag for a disastrous campaign

It seems to sum things up in general at Manchester United really.

There seems to be a lack of accountability and a blame game culture in place and we see this on the field each week with players having a dig at each other and the likes of Antony whispering behind his hand after big defeats.

Whatever it the matter, it does seem an easy cop out to blame Ten Hag solely for the injury problems.

Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and to suggest they’re letting a manager run the entire operation and impacting injuries seems a bit OTT.

However, there might be something in it and on the surface, it just looks like another red flag for United fans to use against the Dutchman.
