'So impressive': Bukayo Saka blown away by how good one Arsenal attacker has been this season

Bukayo Saka might be one of the Arsenal players who gets showered with regular praise for the winger has found time to laud one of his teammates as well.

Saka has been a near-enough constant in this Arsenal team over the course of the season and has once again shone from wide.

In terms of numbers, Saka has once again delivered. 20 goals and 14 assists across the campaign show just why Arsenal value the England man so much.

Saka has produced in big moments as well, sharing penalty responsibility with Martin Odegaard in pressure situations.

However, while Saka is a fan favourite, he’s also been impressed by the club’s new signings. And in particular, Saka has said he is delighted to see Kai Havertz now delivering.

Bukayo Saka has high praise for Kai Havertz after initial struggles

Speaking in an exclusive interview for Arsenal’s official website, Saka had some high praise for the new signings at the club and in particular, Havertz.

“I can speak about them all individually, all day, about how happy I am to play with them. They have been great for the team, played a lot of games. Kai and Declan have scored some crucial goals and they have all given their best in every game,” Saka said.

“There was a lot of noise around Kai at the start of the season, people talking about him, so how he has stood up has been so impressive.

“He’s just been doing his thing, he’s flying now and people aren’t talking anymore! Hopefully there are more goals to come now.”

Havertz has proven people wrong

Saka is right here about the ‘noise’ around Kai Havertz but the German has gone on and proved he is the player Mikel Arteta thought he was getting.

A number of pundits have been made to eat their words and Chris Sutton has even claimed Havertz might be in the team of the season, such has been his impact on proceedings this term.

Indeed, Garth Crooks has even gone as far to admit he has indeed been proven wrong by Havertz.

The former Chelsea man, then, seems to have put things straight when it comes to those who did doubt him.

Mikel Arteta will also be delighted. And going into next season, Havertz will surely be even better after a positive end to the year with the Gunners.
