Manor Solomon now sends message to Tottenham fans after difficult debut season

Manor Solomon has issued a message to Tottenham Hotspur supporters after a tough debut campaign in north London.

The winger arrived at Tottenham on a free transfer last summer after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk. Manor Solomon had impressed while on loan at Fulham last season, netting five times in 24 appearances for Marco Silva’s side.

But the 24-year-old has managed just six appearances for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou after picking up a knee injury back in September.

The Israel international was expected to be back by March but suffered a further setback which required surgery. It’s led to Solomon playing just 198 minutes of football in his first season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Following yesterday’s 2-1 win over Burnley, the first-team squad held a lap of honour to thank fans for their support throughout the season.

Solomon was spotted amongst the group, as well as fellow injured Spurs stars Timo Werner, Richarlison, Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies.

Solomon has message for Tottenham supporters

Solomon took to Instagram following yesterday’s victory and posted a picture of himself during the lap of honour.

The former Fulham man admitted he has missed playing football and thanked Spurs fans for their support throughout the season.

He wrote: “Was really good to see you guys again today, can’t explain how much I miss playing. Thank you for your support.”

Tottenham open to Solomon exit

Despite impressing in the early stages of the campaign, Solomon could head out the door this summer after an underwhelming debut season.

The winger has been hugely unfortunate with the knee injury he picked up back in September and he had impressed beforehand, racking up two assists.

But while Spurs aren’t actively pushing the forward out the door, the club would be open to offers this summer.

It’s no secret that Postecoglou is aiming to bolster his attacking options and Tottenham could make a decent profit on Solomon after snapping him up on a free transfer last summer.
