‘I’ve got a feeling’: Chris Sutton has now predicted who go through – Leeds or Norwich

Leeds face Norwich City this week in the playoff semi-final second-leg.

The Whites and The Canaries played out a bore draw at Carrow Road on Sunday, and it’s all to play for back in Leeds this week.

Speaking on BBC 606, Chris Sutton has been discussing this upcoming match, and he says that he has a little feeling that Norwich will be able to get past Leeds here, claiming that he thinks the Elland Road crowd could get very nervous during this game.

Chris Sutton tips Norwich to get past Leeds

Sutton spoke about this fixture and who will go through.

“Do you know what I don’t think that’s the worst result. Elland Road, the brilliant stadium that it is, with what is at stake, Norwich’s away form isn’t great, Josh Sargeant went off injured and that is a worry. But imagine if Leeds fans get a little bit nervy? I’ve got a feeling for The Canaries,” Sutton said.

Leeds’ form is terrible

Leeds probably head into this game as favourites due to the fact they’re at home and they finished higher in the league.

However, the form book shows that Leeds can’t be relied upon at all right now.

Leeds have won just one of their last seven games, and even then that was a close 4-3 win against Middlesbrough.

Simply put, Leeds are in poor form at the moment, and Norwich could well capitalise on that.

We saw at this stage a few years ago how a nervous crowd can impact the team – Kiko Casilla’s mistakes against Derby in 2019 were a testament to that, and after Leeds’ poor recent run, we have to imagine that the crowd inside Elland Road will be incredibly nervy.

Don’t be shocked if Norwich do manage to edge this one.
