Tottenham fans reveal if they'll celebrate a Man City goal against their club in YouGov poll

Tottenham Hotspur fans have insisted that they won't celebrate if Manchester City score against their team in Tuesday evening's crucial Premier League clash.

Spurs are set to welcome City to north London on Tuesday evening, with the visitors currently embroiled in an intense battle for the Premier League title in the final week of the 2023/24 season.

Man City currently sit one point adrift of Arsenal in the Premier League title race, but have two games left to play while the Gunners have just one - against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The fact that City are neck and neck with Tottenham's arch rivals Arsenal in the title race has led to plenty of mixed emotions for Lilywhites fans heading into the game on Tuesday.

While manager Ange Postecoglou has insisted that his side won't "roll out the red carpet" and gift Man City a win that will prevent Arsenal from ending their 20-year title drought, plenty of Tottenham fans have taken to social media to express their desire for their team to lose the game.

In a poll conducted by YouGov however, Spurs have also explicitly expressed their desire to see their club actually beat Man City.

A whopping 72% of fans polled stated that they would prefer to see Tottenham win the game, despite it meaning that Arsenal would be given the upper hand in the title race as a result. A further 89% of fans also insisted that they wouldn't celebrate if Man City were to score against their team.

The poll results may stem from the fact that Tottenham are currently still in with a shout of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League ahead of Aston Villa.

Thanks to Villa's dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool on Monday evening, Tottenham can now leapfrog Unai Emery's side into fourth place if they win both of their two remaining games and Villa lose to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
