Aston Villa supporter Prince William has shared his delight after the club secured Champions League qualification on Tuesday night.

Aston Villa dramatically drew with Liverpool on Monday night however, all attention was on Tuesday evening as the Villans confirmed Champions League qualification.

As a result of Tottenham’s defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League, Villa’s fourth-place finish was secured, taking pressure off the final day as Unai Emery can begin to think about another European tour with his squad.

It’s a terrific achievement for the Midlands club, who have continued to progress from last season’s highs, trading the Europa Conference League for the Champions League as of next season.

On several occasions over the years, Prince William has been in attendance at Villa Park, cheering on his team along with thousands of other loyal supporters of the club.

Taking to Twitter, the Prince of Wales reacted to the news that Villa will play in the Champions League next season, thanking Emery and his squad for their hard work throughout the campaign.
