£16m star posts two-word rallying call to Leeds United fans ahead of Norwich clash

Leeds United welcome Norwich City to Elland Road on Thursday night in the play-off semi-finals second leg and Joel Piroe has posted an encouraging message to Leeds supporters on Instagram.

The Whites come into the game having picked up a solid result at Carrow Road in the first leg on Sunday. A 0-0 draw, that sawLeeds gather momentum after four losses in six and one clean sheet in eight.

Daniel Farke made the decision to take Piroe out of the side and put Archie Gray in the no.10 role which worked wonders, reducing space in front of Glen Kamara and Ilia Gruev after Southampton exploited it.

With Norwich now coming to Yorkshire, Leeds boast a slender advantage over David Wagner’s side. That is even though the Norwich manager recently suggested home advantage is not the be all and end all.

It is unclear if Piroe will be reinstated to the Leeds side and it depends on a couple of things, but he took to Instagram on Wednesday night ahead of the game to post an exciting message for Leeds fans.

The Dutch ace has endured an indifferent start to his Leeds spell following his £16m move to Elland Road from Swansea City. He has scored 13 goals for The Whites in his 47 appearances since joining the club.

Piroe formed a brilliant partnership with Georginio Rutter during the first half of the season but the form of Patrick Bamford saw him dip in and out of the starting line-up since January, with Bamford impressing.

But ahead of Thursday night’s second leg, the Leeds striker took to Instagram with a clear message for supporters ahead of what is likely to be a ferocious atmosphere at Elland Road against The Canaries.

How will Daniel Farke line-up against Norwich on Thursday night?

Farke does have a few decisions to make to his starting line-up come Thursday. Connor Roberts is set to be okay from the off and it is a big call to keep faith with Sam Byram, who was super against his old side.

Piroe could come back in after Rutter struggled as the club’s centre-forward at Carrow Road, and that may mean a decision will have to be made on Archie Gray who did his job in the no.10 role at Norwich.

Norwich boss Wagner also has a few decisions to make to his side after stating that Ashley Barnes is likely to be unavailable while doubts surround Josh Sargent’s availability after coming off on Sunday afternoon.
