Everyone and their dog knows about the Kylie Jenner vs Selena Gomez unspoken ‘feud’. In recent days, it’s been revealed that Kylie’s brand is earning way more dollar than Selena, who runs a makeup company.
Kylie Cosmetics makes over $380
Kylie Cosmetics has become the third most top-earning celebrity brands, as per a study by marketing experts at Upbeat Agency. Kylie’s company makes a whopping $382 million (£301.4M) in revenue!
The Kardashians star launched her cosmetics brand in 2015, selling her Kylie Lip Kits. The brand has since expanded a lot, while its mascara is the most searched-for product, with over 1,500 searches each month.
However, her company earnings do fall below Fenty Beauty by Rihanna and Anomaly Hair Care by Priyanka Chopra Jones, who both earn over $545 million (£430 million) in revenue.
Kylie and Selena recently faced speculation they were feuding at an awards ceremony, which was denied by Timothée Chalamet, Jenner’s boyfriend. However, they’ve certainly got some competition!
Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez is the fifth most profitable celebrity beauty brand, with average monthly searches for terms relating to her beauty brand totaling $76 million (£60M) in revenue in 2023.
The brand’s blush is the most searched-for product from the star’s line, with 34,000 monthly searches, while 1 percent of Rare Beauty’s yearly revenue goes to the Rare Impact Fund, supporting mental health.
Kylie’s beau denies awards drama
The 2023 Golden Globes led to what fans believed to be serious tension between Selena, Kylie, and Timothee. It looked as though Kylie had dismissed the singer – but Timothee says that didn’t happen.
He assured TMZ he’s “of course” cool with Gomez after the rumored drama went down on Sunday, January 7. Onlookers tried to read Selena’s lips as she dished the gossip to bestie, Taylor Swift.
They thought she’d said how Kylie stopped her from taking a photo with the Wonka actor at the event. Yet, a US Weekly source shut down the rumors after the ceremony, saying none of them even spoke.
