Taylor Swift is always there to help her friends during hard times, and she was on hand to offer her New York home to Sophie Turner, during her high-profile divorce from Joe Jonas.
The former celebrity couple announced their divorce last September, after after four years of marriage and two children together. Sophie Turner hails from the UK, and so during the difficult time, Taylor Swift, who also previously dated Joe Jonas lent out her New York apartment to her friend and her children.

“Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year,” the Game of Thrones star told British Vogue. When the 28-year-old found herself in the Big Apple with nowhere to stay, she turned to the music star to see if she knew anyone with a property to rent. Instead, Swift offered her place for free.
“I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space,” Turner told the publication. “She really has a heart of gold.”
The besties first met around a decade ago, however, their friendship didn’t blossom at first due to the fact Swift had previously dated the Jo Bros star in 2008.
Now, Turner is a solidified part of the Cruel Summer singer’s ‘girl group’ heading on cute girly nights out together.
Shortly after her split from Joe, it was reported Sophie was ‘eager to cheer on the Chiefs’ with Swift, in hopes to also meet an NFL player.
It looks like she doesn’t need to do that now, however, as she’s moved on with British aristocrat, Peregrine Pearson.

Elsewhere in the interview, the TV star opened up about the days surrounding her and Joe’s joint divorce statement. At the time, many articles were alledging the star was a ‘bad mother’ who ‘liked to party’.
“I mean, those were the worst few days of my life,” Turner said. At the time, she was on set, and was contracted for another two weeks. “I couldn’t leave. My kids were in the States, and I couldn’t get to them because I had to finish Joan. And all these articles started coming out.
“It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother – mum guilt is so real! I just kept having to say to myself, ‘None of this is true. You are a good mum, and you’ve never been a partier,'” the star continued.
