Unai Emery has sent Aston Villa fans a heartwarming message after the club achieved their ‘dream’ Premier League season.
What a campaign it has been at Villa Park. After the Birmingham outfit finished seventh in the 2022/23 season, they have only continued to improve.
Under the guidance of Emery, Villa broke multiple records throughout the current campaign.
Villa’s first team have been on fire. Ollie Watkins could well win the Premier League Player of the Season Award while the signing Pau Torres has proved to be inspirational.
As a result, Villa have now reaped the rewards of their form and qualified for the Champions League.
In the aftermath of the celebrations, the Villa manager has sent the supporters a message after overseeing an incredible season.
Unai Emery has achieved his ‘dream’ season at Aston Villa
When Emery took over from Steven Gerrard, the club were in the middle of a relegation battle. Yet, by the end of the campaign, the club ended up in the Europa Conference League.
As the 2023/24 campaign dawned, many of the Villa Park faithful hoped for another return to the European places.
Yet, Emery ‘dreamed’ of Champions League football and Villa finally got this over the line after Spurs’ 2-0 loss to Man City.
Now, after the tide has settled, Villa published a video with the manager thanking the fans for their unwavering support this season.
One section of the video Emery said: “I am really thankful. Every coach that is here, every worker that is here, we all know that everything we are doing is to try to be happy with our supporters and fans and always be proud of our work, and our supporters, and feel Villa is a great club.
“It is always something special to us to defend our shirt in every competition that we are playing in. I send this message to keep going ahead, forward for the next season and trying to get better always. Up the Villa!”

The only way is up for Unai Emery and Aston Villa
The progression Villa has seen under Emery has been nothing short of remarkable.
The club looked to be on the brink of Championship football when the club lost 3-0 to newly promoted Fulham.
Yet, just 18 months later, Villa are in their best position in recent history. Much of this is thanks to Emery and his policies at Villa Park.
With the club set to play Champions League football next season, fans can only dream of what is to come. It is safe to say that Villa have got their best manager this century.
