Football fans have chosen Erik ten Hag's 2023/24 team as the worst Manchester United side in Premier League history.
After a promising first season in charge, in which Man Utd won the Carabao Cup and secured qualification to the UEFA Champions League, ten Hag has endured a difficult 2023/24 at Old Trafford.
Having been embarrassingly knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages at the hands of FC Kobenhavn, the Red Devils have also struggled to find form domestically.
Man Utd are currently set for their worst finish in their prestigious Premier League history, with the club sitting in eighth place heading into the final weekend of the 2023/24 season.
That record-low finish has been explicitly due to the Red Devils suffering a record high number of defeats in a single Premier League season - losing 14 of 37 games thus far. If Man Utd fail to pick up a single point in their final game against Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, they will also break their own record for fewest points in a Premier League campaign too.
Thanks to all of the above, in a poll conducted by YouGov, football fans have named ten Hag's current team as the worst Man Utd have ever fielded in Premier League history, garnering 67% of poll votes.
While ill-advised tactical decisions have played a part in the Red Devils' issues this season, poor performances can also be attributed to the sheer volume of injury concerns the club has had to contend with too.
At various points in the current campaign, ten Hag has been unable to call upon the services of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, and Mason Mount in attack, while his defence has also been thoroughly depleted at times too - losing Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans, Willy Kambwala, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia and Victor Lindelof to injuries.
