Lucas Bergvall shares very honest opinion on Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham rant from Tuesday

Tottenham Hotspur’s January signing Lucas Bergvall has now opened up on what he saw from Ange Postecoglou on Tuesday night.

Any hope of Champions League qualification has now been crushed after Tottenham‘s defeat to Manchester City earlier this week.

However, a fifth placed finish could still mark an improved season in Ange Posteoglou‘s first term in charge of the north London outfit.

But it was apparent the 58-year-old was not pleased after Tuesday’s defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This summer is going to provide Daniel Levy and Postecoglou to bring more change to Hotspur Way in the transfer window.

One signing who is yet to join up with the Lilywhites is Lucas Bergvall. And the young Swede has now been speaking about Tuesday’s fiery night at Spurs.

Lucas Bergvall shares Ange Postecoglou mindset

Having signed in the January transfer window, Bergvall returned to Sweden to see out the remainder of the campaign with Djurgardens.

The 18-year-old is enjoying a standout season in his homeland with a lot of high expectations for the player he could become in the Premier League.

Some have even already suggested that the young talent is going to become a better player than the current Spurs winger Dejan Kulusevski.

Ahead of his move to north London, journalist Alasdair Gold has travelled to Sweden to speak to the 18-year-old.

And Bergvall has now claimed he has been watching Tottenham since he signed and spoke about Postecoglou’s frustration earlier this week.

“I’ve been watching a lot of the games. I watched the last game against City,” Bergvall said.

“They played really well, but sometimes it’s hard. I saw that he was angry and I read it was about Arsenal and all that. I agree with him, I think you should always play to win every game like he said.”

The 18-year-old may well have been signed in the winter window, but he will mark the very first player to land at Hotspur Way in the summer.

Opportunities could well present themselves for Bergvall next season with the likes of Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison all struggling to nail down their form this year.

And the Swede has provided Gold with an insight on how the next few weeks are going to pan out for him ahead of his Spurs move.

“I have three games left so I’m trying to put all my focus here and playing the best I can so I can come into Tottenham in good form,” he said.

“Then I have another pre-season. It’s a double pre-season for me! In Sweden you have three or four months of pre-season from January to April when the league starts. So I’ll have another one but I’m not going to complain! I can’t complain!”
