Country singer Pat Green took the stage at the Troubadour Festival in Aggie Park. There, he was joined by a special guest when Texas A&M baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle made his way onto the stage with a guitar.

Schlossnagle ended up playing guitar alongside Green for the final song of his set, “Wave on Wave.” On top of that, Green also said he’d been to the Texas A&M baseball game earlier in the day.

You can watch as Jim Schlossnagle joined Pat Green on the stage, here:

As he comes onto the stage, Jim Schlossnagle appears to be teaching Pat Green a new hand signal. It’s one that most Aggies are going to recognize as it appears to be a Midnight Yell passback known as “Beat The Hell.” After that, it looks like it’s possible that Schlossnagle is calling for an “Aggie War Hymn,” but the camera angle makes it a little difficult to be certain.

Pat Green was born in San Antonio, raised in Waco, and went to Texas Tech. So, it’s hard to say he has deep ties to Texas A&M. However, he’s bound to have made some new friends with his performance alongside Jim Schlossnagle.

That final song, “Wave on Wave,” is one of Green’s most popular since it came out in 2003.

The Troubadour Festival is a barbecue and country music festival at Texas A&M that took place on Saturday, May 18th, and bills itself as the “Texas BBQ & Music Experience.” Along with Pat Green, The Lowdown Drifters, Joe Stamm Band, Mikayla Lane, William Clark Green, The Red Clay Strays, and Cameron Sacky Band all performed. The festival was headlined by Travis Tritt.

Snow’s BBQ, Black’s Barbecue, and College Station’s 1775 Texas Pit BBQ are among the 35 restaurants that participated in the festival. Among those 35 restaurants, 20 were ranked in Texas Monthly’s Top 50 Barbecue Joints in Texas.

Over the weekend, Jim Schlossnagle and the Aggies baseball team took two out of three games from the Arkansas Razorbacks. That included a phenomenal performance on Saturday afternoon when Texas A&M beat Arkansas 14-4. That game ended in seven innings thanks to the run 10-Run Rule. So, it’s no surprise that Schlossnagle wanted to go out and celebrate after the game.

Now, after a great weekend of food and music and winning baseball, Jim Schlossnagle and the Aggies are going to look to keep the good times rolling in Hoover, Alabama. There, they’ll compete in the SEC Tournament.
