Celtic are Scottish Premiership champions and have once again proven their worth as the best footballing side in the country.
At times this season, Brendan Rodgers has needed to navigate precarious moments; however, he has now hoovered up eight trophies from nine available in Scotland, which doesn’t make for bad reading.
Yesterday, Celtic saw off St Mirren courtesy of a late goal from Luis Palma before the party got into full swing, guaranteeing a final points total of 93 for the champions, level with the tally achieved in Ange Postecoglou’s first season at Parkhead.
Nevertheless, both have carried a different feel despite the club finishing on double the points ahead of Rangers this time around compared to 2021/22. It is strange how things work out, isn’t it?
Earlier in the year, Rodgers directly addressed narratives drummed up elsewhere claiming the destination of the title could be away from Glasgow’s east end by stating his side would write their own story.
His words couldn’t have proved any more true, lending credence to the theory that managers know more about football than their sceptics.
Callum McGregor reveals how Celtic managed to block out noise
External noise is always going to be a factor for any Celtic team to contend with; however, the Bhoys have handled the situation admirably, prevailing with the league crown in hand at the expense of their rivals.
Speaking via BBC Sport, club captain Callum McGregor has shed some light on how his side blocked out the noise from elsewhere, indicating they took no notice of the ‘clickbait’ circulating during the Hoops’ more difficult moments.
He stated: “To be honest, we just block it out. Listen, it’s football, it’s social media, it’s opinions, and we all know how that side of the business works.
“All this clickbait stuff and can we overinflate everybody’s opinion, so in here that’s not real life, that’s not work and people will understand that as well.
“Our job is to stay calm, trust the process, know where were trying to get to and when there’s bumps in the road, we identify the problem and you fix it, you move on.
“That resilience, when you’re going for league titles, especially in the last ten to twelve years at this club, people have shown that they’re over the course, they’re not stupid and we’ve shown that again, so it’s important for us to continue the work that we’ve done and we’ve got a big week coming up as well.”

Celtic have earned their success this year, as when others failed under pressure, Rodgers’ men came out fighting to deliver three in a row.
Football isn’t straightforward or without testing moments, which has forced the Hoops to dig deep, though they came through the other side and always seem to under these circumstances.
