Kyle Busch had some interesting things to say about the wreck had with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. during the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. While speaking to reporters, Busch was asked about the wreck he caused with Stenhouse that eliminated him from the race.

“I’m tired of being run over by everybody,” Busch said. “But that’s what everybody does. Everybody runs over everybody to pass everybody.”

Busch believed he was hit by Stenhouse Jr. during the first lap of the race, which led to him retaliating. “We don’t even have water temp in the car yet and were wrecking each other off of [Lap 2],” Busch explained.

The wreck led to Busch and Stenhouse getting into abig fight after the race. Based on the way the track is set up, Stenhouse couldn’t leave, so he waited for Busch once the race came to an end.

“I feel like Kyle and I have always raced each other really hard back to the Nationwide Series when we were competing for wins week in and week out,” Stenhouse explained after the fight. “Never had any issues. Then you know, I wrecked him one time at Daytona and he’s been kinda bad-mouthing me ever since then. I feel like we get along with each other okay outside the race track, I talk to him quite a bit.

“I’m not sure why he was so mad, I shoved it three-wide, but I mean, he hit the fence and kind of came off the wall and ran into me. I don’t know when I was talking to him he kept saying that I wrecked him. So, definitely built up frustration with how he runs his mouth all the time about myself, but I know he’s frustrated because he doesn’t run as well as he used to. I understand that. We’re a single-car team over here, we’re working really hard to go out and get better each and every weekend.”

Busch is still looking for his first victory of 2024. His best finish of the year came in the second week he placed third in Atlanta. So far this year, Busch has two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes. He’s also seeking his third Cup Series title in his career.
