Bayern to play Kane's ex-club Tottenham in pre-season game in Seoul

Bayern Munich's opponent for a pre-season friendly in Seoul will be Tottenham Hotspur, the Bundesliga club said on Monday.

Bayern said the match will take place on August 3 in the 67,000-seat World Cup stadium in the South Korean capital.

Both teams have famous South Korean players within their ranks, with defender Kim Minjae part of Bayern and Spurs led by Son Heung-min. Spurs are the ex-club of Bayern's Bundesliga top scorer Harry Kane.

The match is part of the Coupang Play Series and of Bayern's annual Audi Summer Tour.

Bayern will visit Asia for the fourth time, along with five previous visits to the United States, but have never been in South Korea before. Their popularity there has grown since last year's signing of Kim from Napoli.

Bayern had announced the South Korea visit in March but until Monday the opponent for the game in Seoul was not known.
