However, that hasn’t stopped the Liverpool skipper doing a bit of background work when it comes to Slot.
Speaking after yesterday’s win over Wolves in information shared by journalistLewis Steele, Van Dijk revealed he has been speaking to some people wo know Slot well, admitting he is ‘curious’ about the new Reds boss.

Any new manager coming into a club needs to ensure he is backed by senior players from the very get go and they don’t come much more senior than Van Dijk.
As Liverpool captain, he’ll be keen to ensure the smoothest transition possible from Klopp to Slot and it’s little wonder he’s doing a bit of background work.
Of course, Van Dijk is mature enough to make his own mind up and give Slot the time and respect he needs when he arrives.
But this is still an interesting step from the Dutch defender and shows he is looking out for the rest of the squad in trying to get the lowdown.
