5-star SF Will Riley reportedly planning to visit Kentucky in June

Not many high school recruits had a better recent stretch of AAU basketball than five-star Will Riley. The 6-foot-8 wing is among the most talented individual scorers on the Nike EYBL circuit right now, and he put on a show in Indianapolis over the weekend.

His best outing was a 42-point explosion for UPlay in a dominant 100-60 win against Team Durant on Friday. Riley, ranked No. 9 overall in the 2025 class by On3, shot 15-16 from the floor to reach his 42 points, going a perfect 5-5 from deep and 7-7 from the line in addition to five assists.

He was the subject of many “best performers from Indy” articles that have come out in the last few days.

The Kentucky coaches made sure to watch Riley in person as many times as possible, with head coach Mark Pope front and center for one of his games on Saturday. Riley was one of the first high school prospects to hear from Pope and his staff once they all made the jump to Lexington.

And according to Sam Lance of ZAGSBLOG, Riley says a visit to UK is in the works for June.

Lance reports that no specific date has been scheduled, but Riley did say that Alabama expects to receive a visit from him in June, as well. Along with the Wildcats and Crimson Tide, Arkansas, Arizona, and the NBL make up his group of finalists. A reclass to the 2024 cycle remains on the table.

“(Kentucky has) just been saying they like my game, they like how I’m developing, playing with pace, playing positionless,” Riley told KSR immediately after his 42-point performance. “It’s good the way they’re recruiting me. They’re recruiting me not too much but they’re reaching out enough.”

Riley has been on a tear this AAU season. He ranks fifth in the EYBL in points per game at 21.4. The Canadian is shooting a blistering 58.8 percent overall, 44.1 percent from deep, and 84.9 percent from the line. This is on high efficiency, too. Riley is attempting 13.1 shots per game, 3.4 of those coming from distance. For good measure, he’s also chipping in 3.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest.
