Asia's 50 Best Restaurants returns to Macau next spring

Organizers of the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants have announced plans to return to Macau next spring for the seventh edition of the awards, which ranks the best dining destinations in the region.

It's perhaps a natural decision to host the event in Macau, given that the city-state was designated the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy last fall.

The theme at next year's #50BestTalks forum, in which chefs and other gastronomy leaders discuss ideas and issues facing the industry on the eve of the awards, will be sustainability, sourcing and over-consumption.

The winners will be announced at the Wynn Palace Cotai hotel. The current titleholder of Asia's best restaurant is Bangkok Indian restaurant Gaggan by chef Gaggan Anand, which has maintained a stronghold at the top spot for four consecutive years.

Asia's 50 Best Restaurants will take place March 26, 2019.
