New 4K Restoration of Ochazuke no Aji (The Flavor of Green Tea Over Rice, 1952) by legendary Japanese film director Yasujiro Ozu (1903-1963) will be screened at Film Forum. The Flavor of Green Tea Over Rice (1952), released only one year before Tokyo Story (1953) (voted in Sight & Sound Magazine in 2012 as the third greatest film ever made, behind Vertigo and Citizen Kane) examines similar themes of marriage, family relationships and generational conflict.
