好評発売中のプレイステーション4用ソフト『グランツーリスモSPORT』に3月アップデートが登場。今回のアップデートでは大分県にあるオートポリスがシリーズ初収録された。
九州の大分県、日田市の山あいにあるオートポリスは、スーパーGTや全日本スーパーフォーミュラ選手権、ピレリスーパー耐久、全日本ロードレース選手権など二輪・四輪のさまざまなレースが行われているサーキットだ。
山岳部に位置することもあり、上り勾配が最大7.2％、下り勾配が最大10％と、高低差の大きいサーキットで、中高速コーナーの多いテクニカルなレイアウトとなっている。
そんなオートポリスがグランツーリスモシリーズに登場するのは、今回が初めてで、実在する国内サーキットの収録はファン待望と言えるものだ。
今回のアップデートでは、スーパーGTなどでおなじみのインターナショナルレーシングコースと、10コーナーを最終コーナーとするショートカットコースの2レイアウトを楽しめる。
さらに、この3月アップデートでは5台の車両も追加収録。トヨタ・GRスープラRZ’19やパガーニ・ウアイラ’13、マクラーレンF1 GTR・BMW（国際開発UKレーシング)’95などをドライブできるようになった。
そのほか、オフラインモード『GTリーグ』にスープラワンメイクの『スープラ・レジェンド』なども追加されている。
