Amazon can now drop packages off right in your garage

Amazon announced Tuesday that Key for Garage is now available for eligible Prime subscribers in the US -- allowing them to receive packages in their garages.

Starting Tuesday if you're an eligible Prime subscriber, you can start getting packages delivered directly to your garage thanks to the new Key for Garage service that joins the ranks beside Amazon's Key for Home and Key for Car.

Prime members with Chamberlain Group's myQ-connected garage door openers can now benefit from this new service by connecting their Amazon and myQ accounts within the Key by Amazon app.

GM of Key by Amazon said in a statement, "Today, we are thrilled to open Key by Amazon to millions of Prime members who can now have their Amazon packages delivered securely to their garages. With this new option, members can truly unlock the convenience of the Amazon experience."

If you don't have the designated opener, you could instead opt for the myQ Smart Garage Hub which adds connectivity to the opener you already use. Once the opener is fully connected to the garage door and complementary applications, you can use Key for Garage to manage access to your garage.

The myQ Smart Garage Hub is on sale now of $49.99, and if you choose to bundle it with an Amazon Cloud Cam, the set is currently available for $124.99.
